The Bronze Ring - Haram Bay Part 1 Report

General Summary

The party entered the,Shoals, and had to summon a Sahuagin by blowing into a large horn made of a massive shell. The Sea Devil arrived and bartered for passage. From there he called for other and using enslaved Dolphins, they were able to lead The Mistral through the dangerous reef to Haram Bay.   Once in the Bay the party stopped at The Rutting, the only Tavern/brothel in the town. There they spoke to some of the folks around the place and learned a bit about the town, it's administrator, Olivya Dain and her famous powerful magic ring. They also learned about a couple of well paying jobs. The party decided to try to make some money before doing anything else and left to tackle two of there jobs. Finding Owl Bear Eggs for a local who specialized in selling exotic beasts, and to clear out the eastern fort of a Chimera that has been preventing the re-fortifying of Fort Minnow.   Before they left town, they came across a Slaver market and noticing one of the female slaves had nice teeth, bought her from the slavers. They immediately set her free, sort of, warning her she should stay with them until they left the island. They decided to spend the night on the Mistral and leave in the morning for their tasks. That night Dea, the slave tried to leave by taking their rowboat, but Cantatus stopped he and scared the living shit out her. Li-Xiayan tried to smooth things over a bit but in the morning they left the girl with Crissius and Cantatus who promiced not to cut her up for the stew.   The set out looking for owl bears, and found a few of them west of the city. They managed to kill the viscous beasts and found two eggs, and stored them for late.   They then ran across a small camp with two tied up Mocar. The rescued the Mocar, and learned they were being taken as slaves to be sold to the Hesh farms. The Mocar, grateful for their rescue, brought the party back to their village to spend the night There they were treated as heroes and given ceremonial dagger that marked them as allies.   The next morning they were off for Fort Minnow. There Carados used the magic of his voice to lure the Chimera into a trap and they party was able to easily defeat it. After recovering some treasure that lied amongst the bones of the Chimera's previous victims, they returned to Haram Bay. They paid Joseph Antle a visit first and he paid a handsome sum for the Owlbear eggs, chimera parts, and a chimera egg that the party found in the fort. Since it was late the party party returned to the Mistral.   That night, a group of women, calling themselves Prism managed to board the mistral in the middle of the night, bypass it's defenses and get below to Dea. Apparently they Dea was their newest recruit before she was taken by the slavers. During her rescue, as Prism thought the party were also slaver as they had bought Dea, it was discovered that one of the women was Keirsten, Carados' Fiance. Things were tense for a bit until the party convinced the women they were not slavers and had only bought Dea to free her. Unfortunately they were not very diplomatic and the crew of formidable thieves left the mistral in bad blood, though without coming to blows. Crissius thought he heard something about "Princess Eve" but wasn't sure as none of the rest of the party made any comment on it.

Rewards Granted

The Party gained quite a bit of gold for the items they recovered.
