Vuzul's Lair Report

General Summary

The p[layers entered Vuzul's Lair and were immediately confronted by a his Konold Druid Servant.  The konold tried to incapacitate the player but failed to do so and had to escape.  The party they explored the lair, being careful to not stay away from fights they did not need.  They ran into several barriers of thick brush and worked out that they must lead to the Dragon;s chamber, as the dragon could use magic to go through them, just like his Druid.   The burned one down, but the smoke cause a lot of issues, and Cantatus was reminded of old similar situations.  this had a profound affect on him and cause him to lash our at Feebo, who was unharmed.  David found them, and spend some time talking to Cantatus, bringing him to the present.   They continued on, but got split up in the darkness.  Willie, Carados and Willie's companion, ran into some spiders, while the rest of the gorup ran into the druid once more.  Willie's groups easily handled the vermins, but Catatus' groups had some trouble with the druid's spells, and they were also attacked by nearby konold using mushrooms that can cause blindness.  Cantatus was affected by one, but still managed to fight off the druid with the help of the other.  Willie's groups arrived in time to help them with the rest of the kobolds that had come from behind.  The party then followed a narrow tunnel to Vuzul's Lair.   The fight with the dragon was swift and deadly.  After it's initial breath weapon attack, it almost killed David and Cantaus with it's bite, claws, wings and tail.  A well placed arrow shot from Willie, and a couple of devastating blows from cantatus with support from the rest of the group and Vuzul lay dead.  The Party's first real dragon hunt was a success.

While this did not get the players closer to opening the scroll, it does put the vemorax on notice that there are people out there willing to stop them.
