Investigating the Guiding Lights Report
General Summary
Prior to investigate the Guiding Lights phenomanon, the Furry Ballsacks decided to travel to Os Gulch to deliver evidence of the resurrgence of the cult of Orcus in the area of Rappan Athuk to High Priest Ramaeshwara Sardar. The High Priest reacted enthusiastically to the evidence that the Furry Ballsacks provided, but the party is suspicious of his motives for wanting to take the report himself to Bishop's Seat. In making their decision to join the High Priest in his long journey, the party assessed various modes of transportation and ultimately decided to travel to the nearest harbor at Landis Tower and take ship from there to Bishop's Seat. The Furry Ballsacks sent a messenger with a month's pay and instructions to their retainers Coldwood, Briland Heavy G to hold Castle Calaelen and await their return. The following day, the party headed east on the Coastal Road with High Priest Ramaeshwara Sardarand four of his brothers from the Cathedral of Zaphkiel in Os Gulch. While the first day of travel went without event, a strange occurence happened after the group settled into camp. A strange horn sound echoed across the dunes, and a spooked brother named Shwama told Christoff that the horn was tied to a legendary group called The Wild Hunt, led by an individual named Gwynn the Hunter. Hearing his horn call foretold Death. Shortly after the group bedded down, the lookouts from the priestly group fell into a deep slumber from which they could not be awoken. The party was shocked to see a strange party come riding over the dunes; a number of mysterious riders , runners and hounds galloping through strange glowing mists. One of the runners noticed the party and approached the group.
The strange figure was the spirit of their lost companion Emanon. How told the party that his spirit had been captured by the Wild Hunt after he was incorrectly laid to rest by the party. After a brief exchange, Emanon recited a strange prophecy: Following this, Emanon bid his farewell and ran on with the hunt. The next day, the caravan continued east along the Coast Road. After being set upon by a pack of wolves, the group was able to fight free and continue their travels.Missions/Quests Completed
