General Summary
As the meeting between the group and General Ban wraps up they are interrupted by Embra Silvertree of the Order of Sigmar, who informs the group that The Scarlet Crusade led by their founder Imperius has arrived to secure the Warpstone from the Temple of the Horadrim. Firehand decides to travel with the Crusade to the temple to over see the transfer of the Warpstone. With the three remaining group members at a lose as to where Vanessa would have fled to, General Soterius dismisses the group while he investigates a hunch. While the General's search for clues, Ceru returns to Memnon, to help Pasha Imohk the Grand with a little spring cleaning. After discovering that bedding is actually pretty flammable, Ceru steals one of the Pasha's dress coats, and makes his way out of the palace, but before he can make his escape he is spotted and nearly gets caught. Ceru calling upon his innate Genasi abilities manages to levitate over the wall and escape before any more harm can come to him. Meanwhile back in town Sarabel Dansou passed away and what remains of the farmers gather to show their respect, and condolences when a mysterious man wanders upon the burial. The people of Dace are caught of guard by the new comer who is quickly identified as a worshiper of Anubis. This new comer blesses Sarabel's soul and passage into the underworld where she will find peace under the watchful gaze of Anubis. The mysterious man then leaves the burial and continues on into Dace to further his goals. Sigurd and Llethwyn are summoned by Ban who tells them that Vanessa's mother's family owned a vineyard many years ago on the border of Dace and Darromar. It may be somewhere that Vanessa would go to, and should be investigated. Spending no time at all seeking additional help, the two set off for the Saldean Vineyard only to wait for Ceru to catch up. Neb'en'Khata as he is known begins his investigation into locating the Book of Cain, which he believes is in the possession of the order of Sigmar. After hitting some obstacles Neb'en'Khata takes up with Ceru and travels to meet up with Sigurd and Llethwyn. With the group back up to four members they begin to approach the manor and discover that the Defias Brotherhood is indeed using the grounds for their own purpose. Llethwyn upon being discovered channels his inner bear and begins attacking the guard out front while Sigurd hops through a window, and manages to dispatch of a goblin. While the three fight outside the guard runs back indoors to call for help with Llethwyn charging in after him and bellowing a huge roar that shakes the very foundation, quickly alerting the rest of the manor to the presence of intruders. With Sigurd's triumphant victory over the goblin he quickly runs in to the main chamber only to forget he has a broken ankle and falls flat on his face while a goblin throws an explosive stick at his feet which detonates and leaves him critically injured. With Sigurd down, Llethewyn lets out a bellowing roar alerting any remaining enemies of the groups presence, and Llethwyn is out numbered, so he retreats to Ceru and Neb'en'Khata who have yet to make entry to the manor. Another explosive comes flying out behind a retreating Llethwyn and the remaining enemies surround Sigurd to finish him off. After the group dispatches the remaining bandits they enter the manor and to find Sigurd in death throws before his body gives in and he passes. Neb'en'Khata wasting no time moves in and begins ushering Sigurd's soul to the afterlife. The scales tip and Sigurd's soul is bound to the service of Anubis.
