Session 10: The Artificer's Lab Report

General Summary

Behold!   The party has infiltrated the roots of the lotus, discovering the artificer's lair. After puzzling their way through the door to the lab, they were faced with some terrible creations: part flesh, part machine, all murder!   The adventurer's killed them and cornered the artificer, who was fascinated by the presence of the warforged arcane fighter. He loved that shit. He interrogated Oni, who could only provide so much information about his past. The artificer revealed that he was researching old warforged designs, doing what he could to recreate them from scraps of ancient scrolls and worm-eaten tomes.   The party, tasked with destroying the artificer's lab, decided not to kill the inventor, but rather bound him up, took what research he had relevant to the warforged, and scattered some things about. The level of ransacking that they did was somewhat questionable, but they seemed satisfied.   They had one remaining task to perform after setting the cache of dreamsmoke ablaze and encountering the artificer: find the Scroll of Secrets.   As they left the laboratory, they were greeted by the Crimson Geisha herself, along with a band of her cronies.   Glancing over the group and spotting Oni, she says, "I apologize for being so unprepared for your early arrival. I would invite you to sit with me for tea, but I'm afraid we have little time..."
