Ghost Tower of Inverness - Session 7: Mud is What You Get Water/Earth Wing Report
General Summary
After the sudden demise of Den Withertongue by the phantasmal killer trap (manifesting as a rolling boulder) the PCs continue down the Earth Wing.
Missions/Quests Completed
ROLLING STONES GATHER NO MOSS
- As the characters make their way towards the centre of the dungeon anoather boulder hurls their way
- to their surprise this time it is a real bould and not a phantasmal killer effect - damaging several party members
- the first boulder if followed by the second
- the PCs quickly disable mirrors which are perched in the ceinling at the corners of where the hall bends
- afterwhich the boulder briefly stop coming
- as the characters make their way to the source of the boulders they discover a stone giant station at racks containing the rolling death spheres
- a key hangs from the giants neck
- after fierce battle the players emerge vicotrious
- past the boulder guard post lies hall covered in a combination of runes and heiroglyphs
- like the SW portion of the dungeon this type of hallway eludes to a prohecy - this time "the prophecy of the east"
- beyond the prophecy hallway lies yet another entrance to the central point of dungeon with pedastal with indentation meant to have the keys insert into
- the prohecy of the Sundered Empire
- A the bottom of SW towers stairway the characters encounter two Formian Armadons
- these beetle like formians are the tanks of their species
- the creatures warn the players of the three choices they can make (turn back, join the formian collective or die)
- the PCs decide to delve right into combat suffer some damage but defeating the borg-like formians
- As the PCs continue down the halls of the NW Wing they manage to decipher the tale Earth
- talks about how Galep-draedil managed to magically create amazing hanging gradens with magical dirt which produces abundance of food
- estolls that earth provides shelter and metal and details how the Flan took this knowledge for their own benefit
- listening at a door at the end of the hallway the PCs here a combination of grinding stone, sloshing water, crackling of flame and woosh of wind
- kicking in the door the are confronted by a large room with an elemental (one of each type) in the corners
- in the centre of the room is pedastel with 4 orbs resting on it each engraved with runes
- the elemental go to attack

THE RUIN CHANTER
- On their way back to the courtyard the PCs checkin on the defeated foe
- he is still bound and surving fine - he has no need for food or water in the ruins
- On a hunch the PCs bring their fallen comrade to the soul bonfire in the courtyard
- once in the radius of it's light Bruwena the Flame Minsiter of for the Lich Lyzandred makes an offer to her fallen brethern
- "serve my my master and arise as a hollowed one"
- the spirit of Den accepts and he is reborn
- seem mostly concerned with defending their territtory
- seem to want to add to the population of their hive - what this entails you do not know
