Rewards Granted

THE HEALING BATHS

  • Once a week per person the baths provides the benefit of 8 hours rest in the span of only an hour

Missions/Quests Completed

Icky but Good

  • chaos factor event: Remenants of Assembly oozes have nested in the parties equipment
  • depending on how the PCs rolled their equipment either had been repaired, damaged or enhanced permanently
  • fearing the erratic nature of their "cleaning" protocol the PCs take time to make sure they're rid of the nuisance
The Baths As the party pauses at the precipice of the former baths fo the dungeon they come across a glaring contrast
  • this room is in as much disrepair as the SE wing was
  • the PCs rightly assume that there's something in the room which the assembly oozes avoid
Their caution not-withstanding the party soon finds itself in battle with a pair of wormlike Grimslakes
  • one is hiding under the rubble from a partially collapsed ceiling while the other is lying in wait in pools sized bath
  • Affter a short only meddling battle the players discover the following:
  • the baths are magical (as revealed by the heiroglyphs - see rewards above)
  • the collapsed ceiling sports tunnels (assumed to be tunnels that emerge in the rubble of the dungeons courtyard)
  •   Halls of Knowledge (The Ether War) Like the SE dungeon the walls of change from heiroglyps to mosaics.

The PCs deduced their meanings as an event known as the the Etherbane War
    • Galep-draedil fought vs the enigmatic Khen-zai in a battle over what is now the Bright Desert
    • the wily wizard managed to banish the abberations to the ethereal plane where they can only briefly escape for limited time
    • the Xill (four armed reptilian/insectoid creatures) were use as shock troop bye the Khen-zai
    • after their masters defeat some remained while others rebelled (with an entire clan dedicating themselves to Galep-draedil
Like a Rolling Stone As the players forged ahead they would come across some twist in the corridors.
    • at these bends are mirror placed in the corners (like in a variety store)
    • soon the sound of grinding/rolling is heard followed by the incoming boulder (a la Indiana Jones)
    • 1/2 the party successfully out ran the boulder while the other 1/2 tried to knock down a door before being crushed
    • all the party made it with the exception of Flame Minister Den who was killed by the boulder
    • the 1/2 which ran back to the baths were surprised to see it was a variant of the phantasmal killer spell as the boulder made no ripples in the water soaked floor
