Session 08: New Crew Members Hired. Report

General Summary

Fiday, 055 1106 3I   The crew of the CSS Rising Shadow after getting some needed medical attention from a doctor who could do the best he could based on his medical skills patched up the human crew of the CSS Minow and the CSS Rising Shadow. Then the crew made preparations for the departure of the planet. Doc Adams, Marshal Dillion, Marshal Earp, and Doc Holiday were concerned that there would be more visitors that would arrive on their protected planet. They feared that what happened to their cousins the M&M Clans on a planet called Earth would also happen to them. Their leaders were told by the Ancients that they would be protected from this travesty. The Four Kayu pleaded with both crews to keep this planet a secret. If you were able to get through the barrier then others could as well which would jeopardize the safety of Kayu citizens. If you could reach out to the ancients and inform them as well it would be very helpful. Meanwhile on the planet of Drinax newly promoted junior executive Cankili Vallana has just arrived. Cankili is a corporate lawyer who has been very successful and has risen in the ranks of the Shadow of the Rose Corporation the past four years. Senior executives, including the CEO, have watched his progress. They have sent Mr. Vallana to represent clients which include three crew members of the Rising Shadow. Mr. Vallana was very successful in protecting the interests and integrity of the corporation. With the creation of the new organization within the Shadow of the Rose Corporation, new job opportunities have also been created. These new positions have been hand-picked by the executive board due to the secrecy of this new organization. The Board members hand-picked Mr. Vallana to represent the interest of the new organization. To keep the new organization within the law of all three empires involved in the Trojan Reach.   When Mr. Vallana arrived he ran into a rival lawyer by the name of Tom Hagen. These two have faced off more than once in a courtroom with both winning and losing court cases against each other, with Mr. Vallana winning most of them. The last time these two faced each other Mr. Vallana came out on top costing Mr. Hagen his job. Now Mr. Hagen has been hired by a rival security firm called Unified Security & Escort Services. (USES) Mr. Vallana learns in several interactions with Mr. Hagen that he is hear looking for a woman tied to the crew of the Rising Shadow. Mr Hagen claims that the crew kidnapped the woman and is holding her against her will. He is here to serve an injunction to collect the woman and take her back to Marduk where she is wanted by GeDeCo as a person of interest in the murder of her husband. Mr. Hagen makes several attempts as to the reason why Mr. Vallana is here on Drinax but comes up with nothing. Several interactions between the two in a short period just fuels the rivalry between the two. Especially when Mr. Vallana is allowed to see the King of Drinax and he is not. Mr. Hagen has two goons with him who are not able to find any signs of the CSS Rising Shadow. There are no public records of the ship arriving on the planet let alone the crew. Mr. Vallana is seen by Mr. Hagen with the princess leaving the royal quarters. His two goons try and follow them but that ends when they enter the barracks of the Star Guard.   Once in the barracks, Mr. Vallana is shown the secret military port in the Palace. He is escorted by the princess to a waiting Lord Wrax who is waiting for the arrival of his beloved flagship that was given to the Shadow of the Blue Rose Corporation. The Rising Shadow lands and once again, he is denied entrance onto the ship. Lord Wrax starts demanding why they disappeared for over 24 hours. This of course is stopped by the princess who defers to Mr. Vallana who tells the Lord that the mission and ship belongs to the SBRC and they do not need to tell him anything. This sets of Lord Wrax who goes off yelling at ground crews to get back to work. Once landed the crew under the advisement of Cortana seeks a doctor by the name of Gregory House to help with the crew that has been injured. The injured crew members will be down for a week and it's going to take another week for the inspection of the ship after its first mission. The ground crew, despite Lord Wrax issues, are willing to make sure the Rising Shadow is in tip-top shape before it leaves on its next mission. This gives the crew two weeks liberty to take of the things like hire needed crew members for future missions. gives them time to meet and greet their new crew members including Mr. Vallana. The crew had dinner with the royal family once again in the evening. The crew was told to dress in the required business attire for dinner. Once again Mr. Hagen was run into again as he was still in the waiting room to see the king. Mr. Hagen only learned that Mr. Vallana worked for the SBRC and this did not bode well with him. Now he really wanted to know what business did the SBRC have on Drinax. Mr. Hagen did not even recognize the crew of the Rising Shadow because of his business attire. Mr. Hagen is also not aware of the marks arrival at the Hospital of Drinax either.
