Operation: Trainwreck

General Summary

In the unknown depths of Nabokon, Verces four people sat silently around a table, waiting for a holoprojector to activate. When it finally came to life, a man identifying himself as "Mr Grey" requested that the four retrieve a 'capsule' from Stygian Tower, and not to look inside it. They agreed.

The four scouted the tower briefly (during which time Beetlejuice stole a police comm in broad daylight) and Beetlejuice forced a Dwarf taxi driver at gunpoint to take them up to a small airlock that Dexx had noticed. Slip paid him 2 credits for his trouble before he left. Valhatru spotted a small access computer - but
with no power it would be useless. He and Beetlejuice activated it by powering it from his armour, and began moving cargo pods around while Slippery G'zar and Dexx scouted ahead. They were watched by a Fey Hound, which went and alerted a half-orc security guard. As the guard approached, the squad (except for Valhatru clambered up onto the loading claw attached to the roof. They unleashed a powerful barrage of gunfire on the two, and also opened fire on the four security guards resting in the control room, cutting them down before they even had a chance to arm themselves.
Even as they finished off their handiwork, the elevator opened and a squad of NextStep bounty hunters emerged with Garen Troshar leading from the rear with his two bodyguards. (And unknown to them, Ublios Crows approached with another, smaller squad from the airlock.)
Beetlejuice tossed an EMP grenade to Valhatru who flung it at the group still clustered in the elevator - disabling two and severely injuring the others. His bulk blocked the passageway to the control room, so while the forces fought, Garen moved around them to seek out the capsule - the same one the squad was seeking. When the cargo pod they wanted arrived Dexx and Slippery G'zar moved parallel with him, with Dexx utilising his ghost-like abilities to leap from the loading claw (firing his beam pistol at a pair of hostiles) and phase-shift through the roof of the cargo pod. Inside, he found crates marked in Druw'th, including the capsule required. He took it and left the building.
Meanwhile, Slippery G'zar was hurling insults back and forth with a small series of NextStep hunters. Ublios Crows stood on top of a cargo pod, firing his magically-enhanced revolver at his enemies before changing position to assist his troops take on Slippery G'zar.

Garen hadn't gotten far - stopping to throw insults at Slip and hopefully distract him from his mission. It was a mistake, as Valhatru came nearby. One bodyguard was cut down by Beetlejuice in a sudden blitz of laserfire, sweeping the beam around to hurt all three.
One bodyguard dropped, and Valhatru picked up Garen - and threw him from the building to his death. A second later, Valhatru struggled for his life as the remaining bodyguard shoving him to that same edge. Teetering on the brink of death, Valhatru struggled to maintain his strength but maintained himself long enough for Beetlejuice to cut the final bodyguard down.
With Dexx gone with the capsule, and most of the NextStep forces being cut down, Ublios Crows retreated, leaving them for dead. Valhatru, Beetlejuice and Slippery G'zar ran, and minor bounties were placed on their heads within the hour. Dexx on the other hand, now wears a hefty alive-only bounty, with extra paid for retrieval of the capsule.

Notes

Genesys gameplay

Valhatru's Player complained about his 'two Maneuvers and an Action for free, each Turn' Kasatha bonus being unfair, as he didn't always have the need for an Action. He requested a third free Maneuver.

GM ruled that this would be unfair (maximum 2 Maneuvers, 1 Action per Turn - an important rule not lightly bent nor broken) but couldn't think of a good enough reason at the time.
The reason is, that although Kasatha have four arms they can only move so fast and do so much in a Turn - similar to other species. If there is no use for an extra Action, then no "consolation prize" additional Maneuver should be given.
