Session 4 - Glimmers of Hope Report
General Summary
Rayla took a sled covered with flowers to carry Doxa's body, searching for Nance. She was followed by Yira Inkstep, a hag who offered Rayla a deal: she could resurrect Doxa in exchange for a fragment of the Fey Gate. She gave Rayla a special chisel that could accomplish this feat, urging that that the gate would be undamaged by this effort and referencing vague rumors that the gate may not be as inactive as it appears to be.
Rayla and Yira were also followed by Winnow who had taken the form of Moxie. She was dismayed to learn of Rayla's secrets, including the secret deal that Rayla seemed to have with her aunt, Agathe Fentheana.
Rayla found Nance and delivered the body. Afterwards, Nance, Feyre, and Gunn formulated a plan about what to do next. If Rayla was unable to help Doxa, perhaps a high ranking cleric from the Hallowed Abbey could. Though a long shot, Feyre convinced Nance that it was an end worth chasing.
Rayla wrote of note of apology to Winnow, stating if she need more answers or to contact Rayla to reach out to Thieval Thimblebottom. Rayla returned home, but after a sleepless night in frustration, Rayla went to a secret spot of hers in Hollow, where she made a connection with a wildfire spirit from the Fire Plane, becoming the first druid to do so (perhaps in the history of Hollow). She revealed this to her husband, Bramble who assured her this was something special. She also notified him of Yira's plot.
Rayla reported this plot to Avex who assured her that Yira would be punished and dealt with. She then received word from Thieval that Winnow had responded to her letter.
Meanwhile, Feyre tracked down a shellshocked Dac and enlisted his help in pursuing a resurrection for Doxa. Dac reluctantly joined Feyre.
Rayla and her new wildfire spirit companion - a flaming fox - visited Winnow who had a list of questions. This culminated in Rayla choosing to reveal her true fey nature to Winnow, who now seemingly had more questions than answers.
Feyre and Dac returned to Nance's apartment, ready to face the day, only to find it surrounded by a group a soldiers from the Brass Spears of Novus, including Dac's friend Qirrif Torekki. The soldiers hauled a bound-in-chains Nance out of her apartment.
