Session 22: What Happened to Oldden?

General Summary

• The party discuss what to do with Tear. They go back and forth on the correct thing to do with her.  They decide between a monastery to Oscar or a temple to Slaine. Bonnie chips in to say that if they take her to the Slaine monastery that she'll be living near by to check up on her. 
• The party have a game of truth or dare on the boat
• They dock back at Seagrove and return the boat.
• On the final night in the forest on their way back to Magecrest the party realise they're out of rations. Pothos creates food.
• The next morning they see a group of five people. One of them clearly murders a man then disappears. The other 4 are sent to fight the party. It is a group of vampire spawn
• The party win the fight after a very long battle. Ander runs out of rages and becomes weirdly calm for a little bit. This didn't last. Ander also seemed to start to trust Dimitri somewhat
• The party hand in the wallet on the dead man's body to the authorities
• When the party arrived in Magecrest Ander was angry again. He went to hit a loud nerd in the tavern only to realise that it was Prick.
• He asked Prick to get him and Lila to Erdan's workshop to the party could inform them about Oldden
• They called Erdan back from home to open the workshop and informed Prick and Lila there. Ander started having a small mental breakdown so Erdan invited them all back to Castle Iledrith to stay the night.
• Pothos learnt about Ander's previous investment in shrimp farming 
• The next morning the party went back to Erdan's workshop. Prick was there. Erdan requested they invite Bonnie (the pretty blonde) over, then sent everyone but Ander to pick up a cake from the magical bakery 
• Erdan asked Ander about the burns. Ander told Erdan everything and asked Erdan to always be on his side against Varis. Erdan agreed 
• The two brothers argue over who the hottest Terrenglade sibling is. Erdan agrees that in physique Ander wins but refuses to concede on facial features. When Bonnie arrives Ander asks her whihc sibling she thinks is hotter. She says Ander. Erdan still tries to flirt with her.
• Everyone had birthday cake but Prick tried to leave halfway through. Ander followed him out and Prick yelled at Ander. Ander asked him to help his design a memorial for Oldden
• Everyone had a fun time at the impromptu party, (people were throwing doughnuts around), Erdan then said Falin wants the whole family at dinner tonight. They manage to get invites for Dimitri, Pothos, Bonnie, Tear, Prick and Lila as well
• They go for dinner. The party tell Falin about Oldden
• Varis arrives after the starter. Ander starts beef with him. Varis calls Ander out about his treatment of Erdan. Varis has a wound on his neck
• Varis teleports Ander up to the observatory tower. He takes Ander's arm off and holds it over the balcony. Ander immediately rushes him. Varis teleports away and Ander and the arm fall in the river. 
• The arm stopped working below the elbow.
• Varis goes straight back to dinner table but it takes a while for Ander to get back.
• When he does the first thing he does is stab Varis in the neck. Falin hold persons him but needs him to take the knife out so dispells hold person until the knife is removed.
• Falin makes Varis lave the table. He is incredibly angry with Ander and threatens to kick him out the city permanently. They argue about the punishment for Varis. Falin calms down and starts trying to get on Ander's good side. They agree to lock Varis up for 1 year and magically enhance it to be 10 years for Varis. 
• Ander is going to leave dinner but Falin tempts him to stay with ice cream
• Falin says he was planning to announce his engagement to a new woman, Flora. He invites everyone at the table to the wedding and allows them all the bring plus ones. 
• Falin tries to apologise to Ander but Ander doesn't accept it. Falin admits that he failed him as a father.
• That night at the tavern Bonnie admits to Ander that if she was in him position that she'd have done the same thing
• The next day the party head back to the workshop. Erdan offers to fix the arm for free. Ander pays 600 gold to change the place of the emergency release button, add a grappling hook and make the old emergency release button fire a lightning bolt at whoever touches it. 
• Erdan tells Ander that it was his decision to stay up completing the arm and Ander didn't make him. He also apologised for showing Varis the blueprints of the arm, letting him learn where the emergency release was.
• Lucan suddenly shows up. He wants the snapper. Erdan gives it to him. Lucan offers to take the party up to Oldden. He says he'll do it for free but if they're willing he'd like a favour: he wants the Heroes of Prith to open his museum down in Faewren. The party agree. They decide to travel to Oldden the next day
•  That night at the tavern Ander meets Ava. She's from a foreign noble family. She was causing problems for the family so was sent to Magecrest Magic Institute, even though she can't do magic. 
• She heard stories of Ander and was in awe of him. He kind of blows her off
• The next day they travel back to Oldden. They don't walk through the smouldering town. They can feel an overwhelming destructive force inside. Ander picks up a number of things he was able to save: the potions and lotions sign; Lila's rigged 6 sided dice; his old axe blade; a shattered crystal ball; a teapot handle and a locket with a portrait of a man they didn't recognise.
• The party head over to Prith and meet Ivor and Achievement. Achievement explains what happened to the town.
• She offers them a place to stay, luckily Prith has many free houses.
• She says that Lei, Raymond and Cam returned the day before and requested a house with six bedroom so there'd be space for the party. they decide to stay there.
