Session 6: UthTower, Serpant gods, and the Black Death. Report

General Summary

6/2 Uth Tower, Serpent Gods and The Black Death   The party heads towards Uth Tower in an attempt to beat the dragon cultist to the Twinned Crown of Myrmoran, which is supposed to let Voaraghammanthar (the black death) speak to his brother. We have a day or so before the moons align and make the tower accessible.   As we head towards the tower, Martha sends out her owl 'Harry Potter' style to investigate and finds the cultist are not far behind us. The party decides to try and beat the cult into the tower early and escape before we have to deal with them and the serpent peeps.   As we approach the tower its completely underwater. Martha casts water breathing and Deo summons a My Little Water Pony.   We slowly descend into the water. On the way to the bottom Wilbo, Martha and TPain spot a scout that is quickly dispatched with well-placed shots.     Once the party arrives at the bottom, they encounter a magic door and more guards. Will and TPain engage and Deo swims out of nowhere and smites the shit out of the guards.   At the same time Hooves smashes the door down!! Beyond the door the water is somehow magically held back, allowing the inner halls to be dry and breathable.   Several groups of Serpent folk are inside and Martha flings a fireball as soon as she steps 'out' of the water and into the hall, scorching many sea bitches.   Hooves follows up the fireball by rushing into the room..............and falling straight into a pit trap. After gathering himself he's confronted by a giant serpent!! This must be the serpent god they worship!   Martha takes a crit to the face!!   Wilbo, Deo and Tpain flow into the room and gank a few serpents while Lil-life-giver heals Martha.   Now back onto her feet, Martha unleashes lightning bolts at the serpents, cooking several instantly.   Hooves smartly gulps down a potion of invincibility just before the serpent god coils itself around him, attempting to crush him to death.   With Hooves able to resist the crushing death of the serpent god, the rest of the team turns to dispatch the remaining serpents. Martha flings another fireball, Wilbo snipes one between the eyes and TPainc crushes a red sorcerer with a crit!   This prompts the serpent god to crawl out of the pit!   TPain then tries to leap the trap gap and engage the snake god, but eats the edge, falling into the pit with Hooves.   As the rest of the party engages the serpent god, TPain rides Hooves out of the pit and joins in the fun. Without support from his followers the serpent is no match for the party and dies a death not very befitting a 'god'.   After quickly looting the area, including finding the crown, the party double times it back to the surface and much to our delight we are able to avoid confrontation with the dragon cult.   We return to the Mire and are are greated by the Black Death. Half of us piss ourselves in fear while the others turn over the crown. We are rewarded with a black scale of Tiamat!
