Session 8 - Wings Over Blackened Skies Report

General Summary

The party managed to escape their incarceration, rising up through the sewers. They encountered an impish creature whom they first quarreled with, and then overpowered, before continuing on towards the exit. Reaching the higher levels of the waterways, the party managed to infiltrate the bowels of Fort Katarn, where they snuck about in hopes of finally leaving the underground.   Happening upon Fort Katarn's dungeon, the party found only one living prisoner, a beautiful winged being chained to the wall by powerful Weavings, multi-layered and seemingly unbreakable. Before they could attempt to free the being, they were forced to hide when the Grand Tailor arrived to question his captive. Levinorus' questions and the being's answers were cryptic, but when the Grand Tailor ended his interrogation, he departed, pausing only to allow his gaze to linger on the pocket of shadow where Mithiope crouched.   When the Grand Tailor's entourage was gone, the party fled up and out of Fort Katarn with all haste, doing their best to appear inconspicuous while they took Ace's advice and sought out shelter from the Tuatha Dé Hospital. The night passed without consequence, but the following morning, an earthquaking roar deafened the city of Katamarin, as the morning sun darkened in a titanic shadow. All across the city, in the minds of its tens of thousands of denizens, one guttural word tore through them; "KHAAAAAAAAAANAAAAYYY!!!"
