Phandalin Revisited Report

General Summary

Previously: A Cruel Wind
The PCs accept the offer to set-up their bastion in Tresendar manor. Tharg takes a garden, Anathema takes a library, Herdyr takes a sanctuary, and between them they also have a storehouse, a workshop and a barracks. They then begin to think about who they can recruit for when they are absent from town.
In the goat deal, Wigglehoof intends to accompany the herd further, with mercenaries hired by the buyer, Zak the Yak, of house Ilitul. A noble house of Waterdeep. She asks that they take a written message to the Wigglehoof ranch when they can.
Elmar Barthen assume they are returning to Leilon after their rest in Phandalin, and prepare supplies for them to transport. They require a cart and horses, though, and ask the party to get them from Linene Graywind.
They also talk to Thistle about his new girlfriend, Vellen, a newcomer in town who seems to be preaching for Talos. Being nearby, they stop off at Lluranu's house, see the worgs, and offload the incubating wyvern eggs to the elf ladies.
Linene has horses, but no cart. The only cart to be found for sale is owned by Halia Thornton. They ask about Vellen, and she seems to be a good worker.
Halia Thornton wants a good deal of money for a rickety old cart, and the party fail to barter her down. They leave and intend to return, if they need to, at a later time. With high perception and history rolls, Anathema notes some writing and a ledger that seem to link Halia to a shady merchant organisation called the Zhentarim, aka the Black Network. This network may have had something to do with what drove her gang out of Neverwinter to begin with.
Returning to an evening at the Stonehill Inn, the party speak to Squats, and have a fun evening with the mildly wild-magic imbued, Gnomengarde Mushroom Sherry. They almost encounter another newcomer to the town by the name of Argus Skeel, but he leaves as soon as he notices the party are in the tavern.
The three heroes of Phandalin make their way to their new apartments in Tressendar, and take a long rest.
