Session VII: Grim News Report

General Summary

Medan found himself trapped in a deep slumber. He began seeing memories. Memories not of his, but of something hungrier. He felt everything as if it where real. He saw himself stalking prey, waiting patiently for it to come and then ending it. He then saw a portal and went through it and found himself inside a fortress, he then felt pain as he was split open and something was set inside of him. After that, he found himself in the cave where they fought the balhannoth. He felt hunger and saw how he made creatures come towards him and then devoured them.

He woke up and spoke to the captain, she told him about his companions leaving to find a dragon in the Tomb of the Explorer. Worried he convinced the captain to give him a lift and jumped of the ship, spreading his wings to land. He grouped up with his comrades and they continued their trek trough the forest.

The next day, they reached a small lake where they began hearing a low wail. Investigating the place, they found a broken caravan with some weird creatures mawing corpses. They were ambushed and fought some weird looking creatures. After the fight concluded they found a note with the elven viceroy as addressee. The note detailed how the dwarven king declared war on the kingdom and was pushing them to join their war efforts or be considered enemies. The note also implied the possibility of the dwarven king having been cavorting with devils.

They parted ways with Silvius and pressed on with a sourer mood lingering in the air. A long walk after they reached the top of Craven Man's Peak where Noctyladon slept. Kiber ventured into the dragon's lair alone and found that the dragon wasn't black nor young it was brass and adult. He was however, covered in solidified miasma. The ranger awoke the dragon and convinced him to allow her to help. The dragon gave his consent and she proceeded to cleanse the miasma from his body with her heated blade.

The dragon introduced himself once again as Abbadon. He thanked the ranger and offered her all of the treasure inside his cave and a lift out of the forest. The party gather the treasures and picked up the ring. Abbadon then got them out of the forest and they got into the Cloudslicer once again.

They set sail towards Glase where they were met with the fire of the arcane towers. Two of the Cloudslicer's levisthys stones were blown up and the ship began slowly plummeting, leaving it's passengers in a dire state.
