Session VIII: Betrayal Report

General Summary

Our teamof adventurers find themselves under fire from the magic ballistic towers of Glase. Helping Jibril avoid the incoming fire, they make it out to Withershire to complete one of their missions.

Betrayed by the elves, they arrive at Withershire and head to Aurora's cave. There, they follow a rite to take Aurora into the ring, not before she and Kiber sign a contract. By virtue of this contract Kiber will free Aurora once she has the power to do so and meanwhile Aurora will aid her and grant her power. Aurora gives them the information she promised and helps them contact the emperor to update him on the situation. With their newly acquired intel and having a change in their orders, they head to the ruins where the artifact is supposed to be reclaiming their favor from Abbadon.

In the ruins, they find an old Satyr man blinded who politely asks them to leave. He reiterates once or twice again now introducing himself as The Forgotten, one of the four generals. He says he doesn't like violence but, seeing their rejection of his proposal to leave, he fights them. They try their best to resist, but one by one they are bested until only Malaveth is left standing. Malaveth swings his sword one more time and cuts the head of the old man's shoulders and that's when desperation sets in. The man's body moves and picks up his head and proceeds to knock Malaveth out.
