Session 4: A place to belong - and an excuse to not get arrested Report
General Summary
Having spend some days traveling the group finally reaches Arcby. Once there they don't waste any time, heading off to find the recruiter of a famous adventuring guild by the name of Silvertalons of Astiar. The old man almost seemed as if he expected them and after asking some questions, he offered them a quest to be completed within the day. Not having any alternatives, the party headed off towards the small village they were sent to, asking the villagers about the witch that has been kidnapping their children. Once they got all the information they could, the group headed into the forest together, Eli pulling out three animals from his bag that accompanied them from now on. The first issue arose when the group started realising that they kept going in circles ... of sorts. They started walking past the body of the same dead squirel twice, though the carcass lay on different sides each time. Eventually they realised that there was a point down the path where they were turned around and started heading back down the way they came from. Finding that point they decided to stop right there. It seemed as if they were stuck, no more ideas on how to continue. But then Gnimble moved right to the turning point. And started walking backwards. Having been turned around by that point, it meant for him that he headed backwards down the remainder of the path. Finally. Believing the other two not to be able to come through he decided to continue on by himself for now, only to be reunited with them a little while later as an unknown type of Dragon Wyrmling asked for a riddle that required all three of them. They passed this second test before they continued on as a group. The next test they were facing ... was a massive amount of cats. A large group of them came towards them and almost killed them. Eli's first show of the spirits he was not imagining after all was wasted, as the fog limited visibility to 20 feet. Returning back to the crossing after that, they headed to the next test. A puzzle piece promised something along the lines of the first test they went through. On the way though they were attacked by shadowy creatures. The group handled the situation swiftly, not being too shaken by the strange occurence. The puzzle piece proved to be an unfair puzzle. Despite solving it, the fox that was watching them called for support. A battle between the three roughed up party members and a group of clockwork creatures ensured. Having taken quite the blow, the group decided to rest for some time, Gnimble making sure to collect the clockwork pieces.
