Issue 11: Those Evil Natured Robots

General Summary

After enjoying a continental breakfast, the New Protectorate heads off to the soup kitchen to talk to Tattletale. Along the way, dispatch notifies them that the Museum of Science and Technology is being attacked by killer robots! Accordingly, the party makes a detour.   When they arrive, the party sees police officers being chased around by their own cars and ten foot tall robots terrorizing people. The doors to the museum open, and a tech-wielding supervillain steps out. Dragon informs the party that this is Dr Blasto/   Dr Blasto is a Master-class cape who can verbally command any any machine. His M,O. is to lure Tinker-class capes into conflict and steal their tech. Apparently he was expecting Armsmaster and Chevalier.   There were three robots on the field - one with gun arms, one equipped with buzzsaws, and a defender-bot covering Dr Blasto. Donny and Bobby engaged the gun bot; with Bobby shielding the civilians with ice walls until Donny was able to disable it.   Meanwhile, Johnny and Abe moved in on Dr Blasto. Johnny laid a blanket of burning terrain, which Abe manipulated with his power to deal maximum damage.   The buzzsaw bot, too far from the heroes to engage, continued to attack civilians; injuring one in the process. Bobby and Donny turned their attention to protecting civilians while Johnny finished off Dr Blasto with a knockout blow.   Now outnumbered two to one, the remaining robots were witted down without too much trouble. With the battle won, the New Protectorate restrained Dr Blasto in containment foam and summoned a cleanup crew before continuing to their intel-gathering rendezvous.
