Issue 12: No Soup for You! Report

General Summary

Having reached the soup kitchen, the New Protectorate tells Tattletale about the impending threat. Quickly grasping the severity of the situation, Tattletale offers the Undersiders assistance.   But before she can devise a plan, she wants to talk to Ebony Maw. When the party raised concerns about the Maw using his powers against her, she explained that Imp's powers to prevent people's brains from registering her presence also prevents other Stranger-class powers from registering. With that concern out of the way, now they just needed a way to get Tattletale to the Maw. The party quickly elected to try the old wookie-prisoner trick. Tattletale called the Undersiders for backup - making sure that Imp bringa "the thing".   With a plan in place, the party smuggled Tattletale into PRT headquarters and lead her to the holding cells. Before she interrogated the Maw, she asked the party to retrieve Ebony Maw's cape-tracking gauntlet from the evidence lockers.   With Ebony Maw's power tracking gauntlet in hand, the group now had definitive locations for all of Infinity's targets. Unfortunately, it was not all good news. Among the capes on the tracker were two members of the Slaughterhouse 9 - Siberian and the Crawler - who appear to be headed straight for Brockton Bay. If that wasn't bad enough, Tattletale says she believes they are coming specifically to test Brockton Bay's newest superhero team.   At the mention of Crawler, Director Piggot went into full shut-down mode- insisting that Crawler is dead and America is safe from the Nine; despite evidence to the contrary. She took a similar stance at the mention of Victor Von Doom, the Supreme Monarch of Latveria.   Latveria is a dangerous world power whose regime is in a perpetual state of conflict with most of the civilized world; and the PRT believes that the revelation that its Supreme Monarch is a parahuman would be disastrous for public relations. At this moment, it became clear to the party that the PRT prioritizes protecting it's secrets over protecting lives.   Still, without the PRT's resources and the power commanded by their name; this operation would not be possible. Like the rest of America, the party was stuck with them.   Armed with full information on Infinity's targets, the group was ready to develop a strategy. Their tenative plan is as follows:  

• The New Protectorate will travel to Asteroid M tand attempt to reason with Magnus.

• New Wave will be dispatched to Edinburgh, Scotland to apprehend the despotic Master cape Allfather.

• The Triumvirate will go to Latveria to bring in Victor Von Doom.

• The Undersiders will be sent to the Savage Land after Apex.
