Session 5.0 Party at the Palace Report

General Summary

Gwenty implores the party to be on their best behavior and make a good impression. She put's Fassae in charge of policing the party's behavior.   This is almost immediately ignored.   Molli finds her guild master and joins his conversation   Fassae immediately clocks both Sir Quadir and Sir Fayyaad, but concocts a plan to go down to the kitchen and get a uniform. Her ruse is a Food Allergy. She is escorted down to the kitchen by a guard she tries to trip down the stairs. She covers up her intentions and continues to the kitchen. Many new Turnip dishes are added to the menu. Foiled in her attempt to steal a serving uniform she relents and returns upstairs escorted by the guard.   Udo find Cargak the fighter, a high level knight who fought with him on his search and destroy mission. They convince the bards playing in the courtyard to switch to victory music and a more raucous dance ensues. He also tries to recruit Cargak but he is still duty bound to stay in the guard, he is a knight of the Order of the western star   Keimen is approached by Fayyaad, who invites him to join the Order of the Western Star. Keimen feigns that he doesn't understands. Fayyaad continues to try and play up the role. Fassae returns who he then asks to explain. Fayyaad puts on the smoothness charm offensive. Keimen becomes less enchanted with the offer. Fayyaad escorts Fassae to be introduced to his sister the princess.   Molli begins to bop from conversation to conversation displaying her Numeriamancer skills and explains the various oddities many of the finer guests have. One guest is Khemut Heneu, who once she learns Molli is in the employ of Baron Udzak begins to probe for information. Only after the conversation does Molli realize she may have said too much.   Fassae is introduced to the princess   Keiman joins the now wilder dancing in the courtyard with Udo. drunkeness is starting to take it's toll and bad ideas are spawning. The party reconvenes to 1) stop Keiman and Udo from jumping in the fountain 2) find out what they have learned. They avoid an encounter with the guards and decide to cool off with a walk around the courtyard.   Udzak tells the party to meet him in a bit by the fountain and then they will go meet with the princess.   The party meets with the princess after the party. They are taken to a parlor with the princess and 2 Waay hands. They are informed about the Marduk Complex, and given the specifics of the deal; The city will invest 2000 gold into the expedition. They expect 4000 in gold worth of relics to protect the city, weapons and defenses preferred. The party shall keep whatever spoils they can find. Should they return empty handed or short on the relics they may be asked to do other services for the city before the debt is paid. The city will provide transportation, and they will arrive in the party with Baroness Gwenty who shall be the diplomat to Tinena for the next year to set up an embassy there. The city will also provide a Sending Stone to communicate their success or failure to 2 Waay Hands. The city has been able to secure a Bag of Holding for the party as well.   The next day Udo and Fassae track down some other candidates to join the party as henchmen. They are successful in recruiting Nadir a human fighter, and 3 Knot a Lizardfolk ranger. Udo has elected that 3 Knot will be his protegee.   Baron Udzak is arranging the ships and asks if they desire speed or firepower. They elect for speed so they can outrun any pirate activity.   After 2 weeks of travel they arrive in Tinena.

Rewards Granted

Udodelige used his influence with his war band comrades to recruit Nadir and 3 Knot, a fighter and ranger to join the party.   The party has been invested with 2000 gold to outfit themselves to find the Marduk complex. In addition they have been gifted a sending stone amulet and a bag of holding

Sir Fayyaad Varna - older brother of Princess Hilope. Has invited Keiman to join The Western Star order of knights should he choose to stay and take residence in the city. Fassae impressed herself on him and was able to be introduced to the Princess during the party.   Baroness Khemut Heneu was able to pump information out of Molli about the diplomatic venture for Baron Udzak   Sir Gagack a fighter has become friends with Keiman and Udo.   Molli was introduced to Quadak the Master of the Merchant Guild. knows the guild will pay handsomely for any artifact that will make it easier to move freight overland. Still too many pirates patrolling the bay making it dangerous to shipping.   Keiman was introduced to Ganzt, a goblin who got his attention from under a table, called him master, Keiman learned he speaks Goblin
