Session 36: Unveiled Memories

General Summary

Session 08 JAN 2020: When we leave the Blackstaff Tower, Lorin shudders and passes out. When she awakes, she remembers nothing about any of us, our adventures, or herself. She thinks she is named Naomi, and that she should be back with her parents.   Moreover, Lily’s Constitution necklace had a condition that has come due: She has to kill Mirt with in 48 hours or she is turned into a Tiefling and registered as evil.   We regroup back at the bar and try to help both Lorin and Lily. Det takes some gold to his Temple and pleads our case to the Master, hoping to secure three doses of the Tears of Remembrance. With some skepticism, he agrees to provide the doses, but warns Det that they will only function for one month after their harvesting, after which they will produce chaotic results. He also tells us that Hylum, the other side master of Det’s Temple, has a wife who is a Tabaxi named Shining Thunder Cloud, may be able to speak to the gods and help us divine more information. Det takes the advice and the Tears and heads back to the bar.   We dose “Naomi”, who then remembers that she is Lorin. Her icicle is mad at her, though, and she has to spend some time soothing it. We all head to Det’s temple to talk to Shining Thunder Cloud, and find out that she is presently at Mount Waterdeep holding vigil. We talk to Mirt and inform him of this contract killing problem; he appreciates that we aren’t going to kill him, but has no real practical advice.   On arrival at Det’s temple, we talk to her and ask her our questions that need her seer’s powers. We ask her about the situation, and she tells us, [DM: “You must find the stolen fate and unsunder the card. You must move quickly the magical elements coverage and become sentient chaotic forces upon this world and threaten to tear it asunder.” She tells you of a bone box that contains cards of great power. From within this box the 3 Cards were removed and the cards were sundered to release magic which has now changed the reality of waterdeep. She Tells you these cards are the Fates, Ruin, and the Throne.] I ask if the Cassalanter House has any currently active ties to Infernal powers or the Hells, and she answers in the affirmative.
