Session 49: Turbulent depths part 2

General Summary

Session 13 MAY 2020: We each make preparations for our next foray, each according to our needs. Valette reconnoiters a bit and finds that more bodies are being added to the rows on the sea floor. Also, Det seems to ahve been gifted with a silver mask from Kelemvor; its purpose is not apparent, nor can he remove it.   After our preparations, we go back under. We search to the northeast and find a ship that had cracked in half while it was sinking. Currently, it hosts a flotilla of small creatures that look like miniature sea-folk. Hmmm.   TokTok spots some traps attached to two ballistae, ready to fire. As he investigates, a voice calls out through the water, “Halt! What are you doing here?” TokTok can only respond with hand gestures that have the effect of a puppet show explaining our business.   The voice insists that we must leave, whereupon Det takes over the negotiations. The voice says that they have the Kraken in their care; we say that we only need some Kraken ink. Unfortunately, Det has a crappy Persuasion skill, so the unseen voice casts some sort of slimy nether-tentacle spell and grabs ToTok, but Det evades(thinking to himself about how lorin would love these).   Combat ensues with the Kraken clergy! And, hark! The Kraken appears!
