Session 01 Report
General Summary
The crew of the Solitude received a new mission by their employer, Seegson, to infiltrate Outpost 247 and collect all possible data regarding a new chemical compound that the Outpost's scientists discovered. The Outpost is owned by Weyland-Yutani Corp, so the crew needs to find a way to do this without being discovered as Seegson's agents.
The Solitude has a rough but successful landing at LV-636, although a little bit off-point. The crew tries to contact the Outpost, to no avail. Radio silence. After a stressful planetfall manoeuvre, they have to reset their ship for atmosphere flight, and they do it in a couple of hours, leaving them enough time to fly to the Outpost still during daylight, when the temperature is "nice" (-45 degrees celsius).
The Solitude manages to land atop the Outpost's landing pad. The place is quite big and is partially covered by the constant snow that befalls the planet's region. They try to contact the Outpost's inhabitants again, and once more, they're not successful.
The crew decides to go out to investigate and find an entrance to the facility, as the landing pad's airlock is tightly shut. They go around it, find another locked gate, apparently a garage door of sorts. Maja hacks into the gate's subsystem and discovers that the facility is running in Emergency Power and the gate cannot be opened without turning the Main Power back on. But Maja also discovers that there's another entrance, for personnel, at the other end of the Outpost, that seems to be malfunctioning.
Angel, Drax, Maja and Sanvi go to the other end of the facility, only to find that the front entrance is… open. The door seems to be jammed in a half-open position. Drax observes that there're icicles and rust by the door frame. A lot of rust. As if that wasn't weird enough, Sanvi stumbles upon something quite soft, buried under the snow. Angel takes his beloved Sofie out of its holster and digs through the metre-high snow, only to discover an Environmental Survival suit… that has a skeleton inside!
