The story so far
During the events of the Battle of Sorrows over a thousand of years ago, Quazzy's Warlock Patron Desridaen has lost a valuable Magical Flute, and he wants it back.
Quazzy and friends have decided to make a winter journey to the musical instrument's last known location, likely buried with the remains of Mearkis the Sorcerer, in Shobald's Tower in the Kingdom of Chybisa.
The continuation of Session 70 - Temple Hijinks.
Location - Genin Trail between the Kingdoms of Kaldor and Chybisa.
Part 1 - Bats out of Hell.

The party continues their journey to Chybisa. Just a few days away from safety at dusk, they note the silent forms of huge white bats flying towards them over a small ridge. These monstrosities are known as
Morgath's Spawn swoop in and attack, trapping Yureb and Athena in their bony grip and then tearing into them with their diseased bites.
They put up a good fight, luck is with them initially but the Heroes soon prevail, and all the bats are dispatched.
Location - Castle Burzyn in the Kingdom of Chybisa.
Part 2 - Arrival it Burzyn.
On reaching civilized land, the characters are met by a small continent of the Chybisian Royal Guard, the famous
Stalwart Boars. They are questioned and allowed to proceed. They pass over the River Ulmerien to the small town of Burzyn overlooked by an impressive fortress. They make their way the shady
Southron's Rest Inn and quickly ingratiate themselves with the locals. They soon learn that their destination,
Shobald's Tower is in plain sight, on a small island in the river. Unfortunately, it appears to have taken considerable damage from a flood and much of its northern and eastern walls have collapsed.
