Supporting Cast
  • Ephialtes
Old, weathered dwarf, scarred from years of battle against practitioners of magic. His eyes are sharp, but cold. He wears leather and chain, and his signature urumi rests in a coil on his arm.
  • Ihiko
Ihiko calmly dodges the downward strike of the axe as his fingers complete the final sigils of his spell. Placing his palm against the shoulder of the bandit, green flame spreads - greedily consuming his flesh
  • Ilois Setāna
The captain of your experimental group. He's finally determined that the twelve of you are ready to take the final test of skill before you are considered graduates.
  • Lucia de Ragosa
An oread monk from the mining city of Hīrā, this sunny and caring woman is one of your colleagues in the Hearth Wardens. Her curry is to die for.
  • Silvestre de Maphat
Silvestre's eyes miss nothing. He directs the flow of battle as a conductor would an orchestra, his song the clang of sword upon shield and the wet gasps of the dying.
The island of Chúunul readies for war. After 74 years of an uneasy peace, the Kingdom of Lothal and the freed cities of the lowlands begin the call. Royal criers in the highlands exhort the populace to enlist, and the lowland nations make back-alley deals with the Federation, hoping to gain support in their war of ‘liberation’. These tensions, previously thought to be dying down with hope of true peace on the horizon, have been spurred by mysterious incidents across the island. The city of Pakaru-Roto, once a jewel and fortress both, has found its thousand canals drained, its citizens looking upon a lake bottom that hasn’t seen the sun in a thousand thousand years. Golems of unknown make are wreaking havoc across the lowlands. Ships dock in the night, offloading cloaked figures that disappear into the jungle. In the coming years, fortunes can be made, kingdoms shattered or forged anew, and old secrets brought to light. A simple mercenary band might just find a path to fame and glory, if they can learn to command armies, influence the course of history, and survive. Easy enough, no?
