Session 113 Report

General Summary

DM's Log

The party splits up into two different groups. Moon Planter, Ophie, Wicker, Sarsy, and Belle Hop chase down some Mirrorers who were basing themselves up in the Krystal Garden. It is there that they met one of the Mirrorer Prophets and his lackeys who had a Voo-Doo doll of Wicker Wind. After promptly defeating them, they head on over towards the Theater, where they spot another prophet; one who is much more willing to put on a deadly show for them.

Wicker's Log

Wow, the party really has started! Like two minutes in and it’s already being crashed by Thread Rippers! With so many Rippers, and so many us, it only makes sense that we split up to take them all down! Some of us went towards the castle, others stayed in the streets. I went with Moon Planter, Ophie, Sarsy, and Mister Mango to the Krystal Garden, a pretty garden area featuring all sorts of shiny, sparkly plants arranged with such care—it’d be a shame to see them stomped on! We followed the Rippers into the greenhouse specifically where we started to hear some chanting deeper into it. We all began marching ahead. Moon Planter as prepared as ever and ready for battle. With every step I took, I could see the plants around me flourishing, as if they were cheering me on to success! I couldn’t let them down! Belle Hop learned that some of them like their space though and got a face full of pollen. Eagle Eye Sarsy perched on the top of a fountain and got the first shot off, as sharp a shot as ever! Mr. Mango… could use some training with her, I think. His aim wasn’t as clean! The Rippers were ready to stand their ground, and I was excited to show off a new trick I learned with my Tempest of Shades, and it even impressed Sarsy! These Rippers had some tricks up their sleeves too and started to turn into elementals. They were also a lot bossier and kept telling Moon Planter to drop his weapon and flee! I tried to help him, but the pollen from the flowers was making my head a little fuzzy. When Belle Hop was able to take one down, she pulled it’s hood off to reveal that they were all Mirrorers!! Moon Planter started getting frustrated with Mr. Mango even though he was doing his best, and Moon Planter showed them that he didn’t even need his sword to beat them up. Trying to get in on the action, I fired a divine lance, but these cunning Mirrorers were able to reflect it back at me. They were looking to fight a really smart fight, and I had to be ready to do the same… Belle Hop brought Moon Planter his sword back, and Sarsy continued sniping Mirrorers like it was the easiest thing in the world to her!   The mirrorers were retreating up the stairs, and I was on the chase! But I wasn’t expecting to see a Prophet Mirrorer pull out a doll—of ME! He had a Wicker Wind doll!! And he jammed a piece of glass into it. Each time he did so, I felt a sharp pain. They were playing smart AND dirty! Thankfully my friends were right behind me for support. Moon Planter and Ophie charged ahead to confront him while Sarsy went looking for more arrows. Still, I was confident enough to stand up for myself, and show him what REAL pain feels like. Moon Planter finished him off… but something we’d never seen before happened. The shattered fragments of his mirror-face floated into one of the lackeys, and he took over their body! The doll of me was getting thrown around like a hot potato, and it kept getting torn apart. With that and my curse, it was getting hard to keep standing.   While I was standing on the bridge, I noticed Sarsy next to me glow a weird purple before shooting a super magical shot I hadn’t seen her do before! Water geysers were shooting Mango and Belle Hop up into the air, and they just kept stabbing that doll of me! In the middle of it all, Ophie got confused… It was getting so hairy, I had to push my curse to the limit! I just started healing everything in sight, of course at my own expense. I saw Belle Hop go down, and I thought quick to cast a spell to make it look like she died, but she actually went invisible, and my curse gave her some healing to wake her back up! Then the Mirrorer used the doll to try to throw me over the edge of the balcony! I used all my remaining strength to hold on, outlasting the doll in the process as it tore in half, but I wasn’t any more hurt! We almost cleared the rest of the Mirrorers before one hit a menacing scorching ray on three of us. I barely managed to keep Belle Hop and Mr. Mango alive with my curse, and some quick thinking. Starting to feel… frazzled, I hobbled forward and managed to finish him with a strong divine lance.   When the glass-dust settled, Sarsy was there to help me down the stairs, and give me some of her root beer. As we licked our wounds, we heard a draconic roar. It was Koh-I-Noor far off in the city. We went outside and Moon Planter spotted an unconscious Fireheart, Scales, and Kaffe being pulled into the opera hall by more Mirrorers! We hurried in to find more Mirrorers around a stage, and one Mirrorer reciting a poem in a sinister manner. We’re out of the greenhouse, but not quite out of the woods yet…
