Session 60: the fire node Report

General Summary

Our heroes continue to explore the Fire Node. It is a strange place, detached from the material plane, but not wholly the elemental plane of fire. The hallways in this dungeon like place are of black rock, the doors black stone as well with brass fittings. The air is stifling and almost unbearable (causing damage every minute). The fire giants and salamander already met have been augumetned by fire myrmidions, an efreet and bodaks. Each of these the party was able to destroy (although a bodak nearly killed Mycha) and each seemed either suprised at the heroes' presence or unconcerned.    After wandering moving through several corridors the party happened upon a widened hallway with a large symbol of evil elemental earth. What it might mean within the Fire Node is unknown.   Later, the heroes happened upon a long corridor of horror -- corpses spiked to the walls, their flesh blackend and cooked in the heat of the place, scorched entrails piled on the floor beneath them. At the end of this corridor a circular room held a Marilith, a multi-armed demoness. She began to question the party, but Orlac quickly cast Geas and although she tried to resist the demoness was compelled to do his bidding. Orlac commaded the demoness to take them to Imix and do the party no harm. She complied with a slight twist of her lips.   Back down the corridor of horror and a few turns later, the party entered a wide hall, at one end was a giant glass throne filled with raging fire. Upon it sat Imix and he began to rise.
