Session 6: The Ghastbark Artifacts Report
General Summary
Crossing the Dexovar Rapids
Today, we left the Old Post behind and began our journey across the tumultuous Dexovar Rapids. The waters were as treacherous as they were swift, but our determination saw us through.
The Wrecked Ship
While navigating the rapids, we stumbled upon an old, wrecked ship. Goruk mistakenly identified it, but curiosity got the better of us, and we decided to investigate. To our surprise, we found the Saviors of Eldersfield had made camp within the ship's remains.
Meeting the Saviors
The Saviors welcomed us warmly, inviting us to join them for the night. We spent hours around the campfire, sharing stories and forging bonds over our shared goals. They revealed that their mission was to track down Melkorion, while our task was to investigate the missing Heart of Narthos within the Shattered Vale. It was comforting to know that others were fighting alongside us, even if on different fronts.
Farewell and Cliff Climbing
Morning came too soon, and we bid the Saviors farewell. Their words of encouragement stayed with us as we continued our journey. Our next challenge was scaling a daunting cliff. It was exhausting, but we pushed through, every step taking us closer to our goal.
The Kobold's Cave
Reaching the kobold's cave, we were immediately met with traps designed to deter any intruders. Bloodthirsty crystals and a large swinging hammer tested our resolve and teamwork. Warby's skill in navigating the ever-shifting pathways of the cave was invaluable, and we finally reached the cave's heart.
Battle with the Kobolds
Deeper within, we encountered several kobolds. To our surprise, they were unusually well-trained. We fought valiantly and managed to defeat them, but something felt off. These weren't ordinary kobolds.
The Flind's Influence
Our suspicions were confirmed when we discovered that a Flind had been training the kobolds. The presence of such a powerful and feared foe sent a chill down my spine. The Flind's involvement hinted at a more organized and dangerous enemy than we had anticipated.
