Session 1: Conscription
General Summary
The party found themselves bound on board a dwarven raiding vessel with no idea of where they were going. Through a feat of luck the Olyra Henderson, a half-elf rogue, managed to slip her bindings but was quickly warned by a dwarf that was also bound with them. Taking the advice of the dwarf she remained where she originally was and the group managed to get a small grasp of the situation they were in. Before the party could learn too much another dwarf with a massive Warhammer strolled down to the lower deck and murdered his kinsmen. Misguided aim and cannon fire freed the party from their bindings and they managed to find their stolen gear, but the sounds of fighting and dying above them caused them to hesitate and avoid conflict as the Ebony Order made quick work of the raiders and saved them, escorting them back to Alderon to give their official testimony. Upon arriving at Alderon instead of heading to the Ebony Fortress they were taken to the Order barracks. While standing amongst a group of confused guards The Mansa arrived and conscripted the entire party. The circumstances of their kidnapping intrigued her and she decided to use the group as bait to possibly lure other dwarven raiders. The party was then sent to Lashura to guide a mining cart back to the city that would reach there in 2 days. Upon reaching Lashura they found a tavern to rest for the evening. While there they were offered a job to help a group of local scholars find a specific weed in a hostile cave system. They agreed to meet the scholars the next day and headed off to the church of assala for rest.
