Session 2: The Summons Report
General Summary
The PCs left Nibian 6 Outpost. They disposed of Sonya McKay’s body into space after searching it thoroughly. They decided that they would need fake IDs to enter Krasian Space. George knew a contact in New Avon who might be able to help. They jumped from the edge of the Nibian System safely, but George strained the Zip Drive to make the jump. Anna and Dash repaired the Strained Zip Drive partially to get them safely to the Avon System. Jason spent the time cracking the code into his Krasian Military ID built into his wrist (Krasian Military ID Cracked Advantage with 1 Invoke). Kyra and Anna studied the Utopia and compared the pure strands vs the corrupted Utopia with incorrect molecular alignment. Warren constructed a backstory for his fake ID (+4 ID Strength). Everyone arrived in the system safely and made their way into the Spacedock. The spaceport has domed roofs that open for the ships upon approach and approval. George let them know where Aris was (2 blocks down on the left from the spaceport). They quickly found her. She had them meet her out back away from the cameras inside. Before letting them into the adjoining building on the other side of the alley she had everyone leave their guns behind in a box. They discussed the terms of the deal and she agreed to do the IDs for free if they would take out the local slavers plaguing New Avon and bring their IDs back. She gave them a +1 Scanner to tie into their ship to help (and bring back when done) as well as temporarily tweaked Jason’s cybernetic arm when he revealed it. They agreed, stocked up and bought items, and headed to the Stones of Avon to pursue the Slater’s Boys and the Star of Bernadette. Dash took lead on piloting, George assisted, and Warren encouraged them from behind them both. Kyra and Anna handled scanners to find the ship. Jason sat readily in the ships turret. They made good progress into the Astroid Belt before Jason’s violent memories triggered. He blasted 3 asteroids squarely, which sent debris into the ship itself. 2 holes were knocked in it (2 and 1). He destroyed them turret in panic when Dash disabled it which Anna fixed later. Anna fixed the 2 hole in the ship as best she could though was never told about the 1 hole. With their teamwork, especially after Jason’s sanity was regained and the added debris passed, they found the ship with excellent scanning. Warren lured the Star of Bernadette to the Salters Peppers by pretending to be a stranded mining ship carrying Utopia. They laid the trap and sprung it upon being boarded. Dash and Jason battled and killed all but 3 of the Slavers as Warren deceived and berated the captain on Coms. Anna and Kyra locked the docking tube to prevent their escape and scanned. Anna also swarmed the enemy ship with sonic noise after hacking their coms. During the battle, the Star’s turret blasted the Slater’s turret away and almost hit the bridge (but was dodged by George). After the battle, the 2 prisoners were freed. The 3 slavers were caged, Brone was interrogated, and the illusion of Warren or “Kevin” working for Jimmy (the slaver’s Krasian contact) was dropped. They got the ship’s navigational logs and discovered the secret of Aris’ father, Nathan. Dash executed Brone per his bounty from inside of his gun’s handle. He saw Nathan’s name on the other side of the same slip of paper. They returned to New Avon, proved they were in possession of the Star, and negotiated scrapping the Star for the parts to repair the Salters Peppers. They delivered the news, IDs, and video footage of the incident to Aris. Then, before having the ship repaired, they returned Zebulon and Judith (+2 prisoners) to Colby’s Church and received the gratitude of the Mayor.
