Session 18: Adventures in Ashanor Report

General Summary

The Adventurers set out on the War ship SKS Slitherscale. Along the way the ship was attacked by a group of Sahuagin that were using a Giant Great White and a Dragon Turtle to try and damage the ship. Thankfully the adventurers and lizardfolk crew sprang into action to fight them back. Half way through the battle the Dragon turtle grabbed onto the ships rudder to bring it to a stop. Kutotar heroically leaped onto the back of the dragon turtle to finish it off and then nearly got eaten by the Giant Shark as she was bleeding. Raphael leapt into the water to attempt to distract the beast but instead managed to climb upon it's back and attach a hook lowered by Juniper to pull the mighty beast from the water. The battle being done Juniper pulled the heavy paladin back on board and before long they were under way once again.

Outside the shoals leading into Caldera the ship nearly got pulled under by a maelstrom but with quick effort the party ensured it moved on. Kutotar was given the wheel to help navigate the shoals and nearly hit one of them with the ship.

Upon finally clearing the shoals and approaching Caldera they were dismayed to find the village had been mostly destroyed. After a short investigation they found the escape tunnel to the lower beaches. Finding the townsfolk hiding in a cave they learned the Red Dragon Clan had attacked the small village and burnt it to the ground. After the party let the council know that the dragons were no longer about the people returned and began to rebuild.
