Session 16: Adventures in Ashanor Report

General Summary

The party was led to the edge of the Death Fields by Bolask. In attempting to cross the Death Fields they are attacked by a raptor pack, and after the ground is shaken a tyrannosaurus is led to the grounds. The raptors disperse as the tyrannosaurus attempts to eat raptors and players alike. Finally defeating the large dinosaur the players journey on into the pit to face its inhabitants. Finding spectators and gazers in a variety of places the parties suspicions about the primary inhabitant of the pit a fearsome beholder. The party struggles a bit as the anti-magic field cast by it's central eye creates a brand new challenge for the party. The eye beams attack a variety of targets each turn. Garlord dies to a death ray before the party finally brings the intense fight to an end. The party resurrects Garlord using the rod they found before and enjoys a large amount of cash and some healing potions. Setting out to attempt to return on their own they feel triumphant in achieving their goals.
