Appearance
Physical Description
Morberos is a tall burly Firbolg, with purplish skin, brown unkempt hair, and a short beard. He dawns a set of white dragon scale armor and is cloaked in a black burial cloth. Typically, however, one would not see his true form. When interacting with anyone, Morberos appears as a thin, but tall elf of unspecified ethnicity, with crimson eyes and long sleek white hair. His clothes are also transformed into a comfortable-looking combination of a long black cloak and light leather armor. Morberos never hides his height and remains just as tall in his elven guise.
Apparel & Accessories
Morberos appears to wear a black longcoat, and bits of protective black leather armor. If one were to describe his elven disguise, it would simply be an "Edge Lord."
Specialized Equipment
Morberos carries on him many powerful magical items, some of which include the following:
- Morberos's Misfortune in a Bottle
And many more arcane artifacts.
Special abilities
As one who has exceeded the potential of a warlock, Morberos houses many powerful invocations, spells, and abilities, granted by his patron Blandril. Of these abilities, he is able to summon and infuse magic into his dragon tooth dagger, summon the soul of a recent kill as a temporary servant, and decimate someone with his modified eldritch blast.
Mentality
Personal history
I come from a forest far away, it was peaceful for the most part, fending off creatures that wish to decimate it or take it as their territory, that was until Herath'Gul came and destroyed everything. Herath'Gul destroyed my home, killed my people, and now claims that forest as her territory.
I was too weak, at the time of the attack, I entered the shrine that held that which we were supposed to guard and prevent from falling into a mortal's hands, and I made a deal with the being that reaches towards the sword. But even with a higher being's aid, all I could do was scar Herath'Gul, knocking out a tooth, and then flee.
I fear that my brethren have been eradicated or corrupted, and have been traveling ever since looking to one day have enough power to return and slay the foul Dragon once and for all.
I have abandoned the blade, however, the magic it once held is long gone and will repossess a weapon of my choice. I often choose to hold its power in my quarterstaff, though I despise its continued existence much like I despise the creature that destroyed my home.
Upon finally resting, in this fortress I now claim as home, I have taken the time to reflect, reflect on my abandonment of the code, after the falling of my home. With this, I carve the cove on the inside of my armor, so that it is with me as I travel. One day, I wish to re-attain this, but my mind has yet to accept those around me like family, and I believe them quite useless at times.
For now, I think back to those who made me who I am today. including Herath'Gul.
Morberos has had many harsh experiences in his life and has grown accustomed to death. Through his adventures with the
Valor of Amadan, he grew in power, eventually overcoming the green dragon Herath'Gul, and aiding his fellow adventurers in destroying the primordial dragon
Delamastrix, Devourer of Worlds. Finally retiring from large-scale adventures, he and the
Valor of Amadan retired to
Morberos's keep, where the entire town he had built was mysteriously transported into a new dimension. From here on,
Morberos forbade people from leaving the town until he could assure that the world was safe and would accept him, while he left on his lonesome to explore the vast new lands, and slowly build enough connections to safely reveal his settlement.
Education
Morberos was given a simple education during his early years living with his kin. He learned to read and write, and basic skills outside of those. following his exile, he developed skills in said learning, developing skills in arithmetics and finances, along with any knowledge he could get his hands on, collecting artifacts and documents of any kind, from a scrap with a 6 digit code on it, to an arcane tome to improve his charisma.
Morberos's level of intelligence is debatable, he isn't the smartest person one could meet, but he is quite wise, and recognizes that, despite limited skills in the field of studying, one should always learn all they can.
Employment
Morberos is a part of an adventuring party titled "The Valor of Amadan" named by himself. The party was often hired by people and groups to perform tasks, with the Order of the Gauntlet hiring their services the most.
Beyond times where Morberos was participating in party quests, he either spent his time performing research, learning new skills, or exploring the greater world, leaving the remaining party members to maintain his keep, as he preferred to be alone.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Morberos has held many accomplishments over the years, including the freeing of the town trapped in time, the reclamation of the hexblade Blandril, the Lichrest, the slaying of the ancient green dragon Herath'Gul, and the destruction of Dalamastrix's existence with their universe. Additionally, Morberos's personal goal of building a town around his keep came true, though, despite this, he still feels disconnected from the only place he can ever call home.
Failures & Embarrassments
Morberos's life has been filled with just as many, if not more, failures in comparison to his achievements. His failures started with the destruction of his home and people by the green dragon Herath'Gul, leading to a life of seeking power and revenge. Within that failure, he also caved to desperation and broke his clan's rules, forming a pact with the hexblade Blandril, and becoming a warlock, only for the power to not even ut a scratch upon Herath'gul.
Following his escape from Herath'Gul's destruction, he hid away the hexblade, only for it to be discovered by others, leading him to have to clean up his mess and slay the new warlocks who posed a threat to him and aided Blandril in its unending quest to destroy all undead.
After these events, Morberos also witnessed the death of a founding member of the Valor of Amadan, and he and the party could do not but abandon his corpse, leaving with nothing more than a drop of their companion's blood.
Finally, Morberos's greatest failure was the prevention of the acts of a powerful drow patriarch, with his actions killing all surrounding residents of the city of Lusken, leaving it a ghost town, and escaping with his now extensive lifespan.
person.sexuality
Morberos is to be considered asexual. While not completely ignorant of the opposite sex, Morberos rarely makes personal connections with others, with only his soft spot for animals ever coming close to apparent love.
Morberos does hold a bond with the sentient burial cloth Gwyllys, using it as a cloak and bickering/ insulting it for his own personal amusement.
person.gender_identity
Morberos considers himself a male, though doesn't really care as to what people refer to him as.

Personality
Social
Current Residence
Dhachaigh Keep
Family Ties
Morberos is the last loving member of his tribe, however he has become an honorary member of the Crogs. Beyond the members of the Valor of Amadan, and those who live within his keep and subsequent village, Morberos feels that he does not truly have a family anymore, and does not actively seek a new one, preferring to be along with the sentient magic items that he takes with him on his travels, and his pets, Nathiar and Each.
Religious Views
Morberos worships nature more than any actual deities, though he recognizes the existence of many gods, including the Raven Queen. As a firbolg, and a fae touched one at that, Morberos has come to consider foreign powers as just that, foreign, recognizing the power of the plants that surround him to be of greater importance in his daily life, and more deserving of his reverence.
Social Aptitude
Morberos is a master of Charisma and can communicate well with people, slyly convincing them to do as he wills, or to not be offended by the actions he takes. Despite this skilled tongue, Morberos spends more time avoiding social interactions when he can and insulting anyone and everyone he constantly interacts with, believing that a sharp tongue can be more useful than a sly one.
Mannerisms
Morberos's way of talking is cunning and cynical, often belittling people around him and messing with their minds. While many find this endearing for some unknown reason, enjoying small verbal spats with him, or ignoring his attempts to push them away, it is undeniable that deep down he might just be a crotchety old man.
Hobbies & Pets
Morberos has two pets, his flying snake Nathiar, and his mount, a moose named Each. Beyond this, he is also companioned constantly by the sentient burial cloth Gwylyss, and the hexblade Blandril. As for his hobbies, Morberos likes to travel and learn, explore the world he is in by himself, except for the prior listed pets and items, and gather as much knowledge as he possibly can.
