Deep voiced, rough around the edges. A real "John Wick," who knows his art. Instructs the young impressionable minds of the monks at the Monastery of Pervading Brilliance. Instructor to Brutality (Serenity Catalyst).
Origin
He is a Way of the Dragon Monk that received training from the Monastery of Midir from a young age and was a prodigy in the art. An orphan himself left on the steps of the monastery to the SE of modern day Lothric, he was raised by the monks there and was educated on the ways of the Draconic Lineage. He was able to harness and master this at an astonishing young age. Due to his mastery and incredible technique, he was nicknamed "The Dragon" and many believed he would be the next to inherit the duties of the Monastery. The Monastery of Midir used blood doping as part of the regular training methods, and he never agreed with the methods, and was able to master the art and arcane energy without the use of blood doping, a feat mastered not even by the founder, Midir.
Edgar's Escape
Revealed in Brutality's vision, he had escaped from the oppression and the dark secret of his previous monastery, but not without a fight. His attempts to leave with the Monastery's closely guarded secrets was met with fierce resistance. But nothing was stopping him once he discovered the dark secret behind the blood doping - the blood came from a captured, now ancient, dragon. Disgusted with inherent torture involved in extracting the blood from the dragon and the squalid conditions it was kept in, while recognizing he could do nothing to save the dragon, he was hellbent on escaping. To which he found the arms of Taylor in the Monastery of Pervading Brilliance, and has been an instructor there ever since. He just wanted to fly....and bury the past forever. He had thought about returning to confront his past, but how could he?
He has a set of his tattered robes from that day hidden in a closet in his quarters. A momento of his sins. There is a reason why he keeps his past secret. Even from Taylor, his closest confidant
Edgar's Tutelage of Brutality
From the start, Edgar felt for B and how she was brought to the monastery. He met her and started instructing her when she was young. He was always sympathetic of her plight - not being able to manage her anger. They had developed somewhat of a "rivalry" as instructor and student. Almost like siblings. He has a soft spot for B and is fully investing in her development as a monk. Secretly believes she could inherit the monastery from Taylor one day as chief.
