The Journal Entry’s title

Parents were Nobles of *CITY*. Wealthy and well respected. I wanted and needed for nothing.
Once a teenager, I began to viewed their religion as a cult, based on what things were asked of the followers in their clan? sect? etc? and especially me.
I was born special. I was born with the ability to change my appearance, and that is believed to be for the purpose to get into a religious *temple? area? etc?* that only open for the deity that this clan follows. *could be used for a bad reason? take over the world? etc?* *Especially since I can speak/understand Abyssal, I kinda want the religion to look really nice, perfect, does a lot of good for the community, etc. BUT its for evil (only the highest up in the cult know the real plans, but the rest of us don't, including me)
 
Because I don't trust the clan, and I am a changeling, I begin to do things and learn about the world outside our clan. (NOT allowed for *women, followers* to see the world outside their walls). I would sneak out at night, disguised as someone else, to learn as much as I could. Given it was night, I learned the most about crime (thieving, sneaking, stealing, etc) because, night is when I would sneak out.
 
I got into some trouble somehow and ended up being brought to the head of the thieving guild. An older man. I was brought because either I am worth money via nobility background or because in panic I changed (changeling panic).
 
At some point explained that I didn't want to get caught by my parents but I didn't want to be there. The old man took pity on me and took me under his wing. I'm useful to the guild, but also he can offer me escape from the clan for working for him.
 
I work for him for years, until the age that *something extreme is to happen in my clan, using me and my ability*. I use the resources of the guild to escape. It's hard on me to make that decision because I have a great family who is genuinely trying to do best for me and their community. I leave them a note telling them I'll be safe and to not come after me. That I love them but I refuse my destiny within the clan and will not be coming back.
 
 
I spend the next few years outside the city doing hood-rat shit to take care of the old man (whom I view like a grandfather now) and upholding my end of the deal with him. The guild fucked him over somehow *Trying to kill him to take over? kind of like when people come for people who run areas in drug neighborhoods* and because of my deal with him and me caring for him (now that he is my only family), I use what I learned from him and the guild to take care of myself and him.
