Beatrix was born in the city of Ostylia, in the Central region of Ket'rani. The youngest daughter of a family of six, Bea was surrounded by love, from the weapons training given to her by elder brothers Octavian and Frederick, to the knowledge and love of mechanics bestowed upon her by her elder sister, Alyssa, Bea was never left out, and always cared for and doted on by her parents, Queen Aalya and Queen Annaleigh of Ostylia.
Beatrix was the sole survivor of the attack that was launched against her family by her own cousin, Queen Annaleigh's brother Amaranth. Smuggled out of the castle by her siblings and thrust onto the back of a hydrowhale, she was carried to shore, away from the only home she had ever known, and her beloved family whom she would never see again.
Beatrix roamed Ket'rani for many years, unsure of how to move on from this horrific betrayal. Eventually, she found herself surrounded by a group of strong-willed and strong-hearted friends, who were willing to make a move against False-King Amaranth.
Reclaiming her city was only the first step; now Bea works to rebuild Ostylia into a brighter place, a forefront of ingenuity and revolutionary infrastructure, and a safe place for all people to live. More than that, she wishes to build it into a worthy legacy to pass on to her children, Kaya and Zephyrus, whom she adopted after saving them from the clutches of an organisation experimenting on them due to their unique abilities.

Motivation

Bea was desperate for revenge on those who slaughtered her family and stole her home. This hatred can often blind her and cause her to make anger-driven choices that she later regrets.
 
Bea will do anything to protect her children, and the friends who now help her govern her city.
