First Night on the Road

This is the Mission Log of Ro, employee of the HRD: Entry Number 1
 
After an... interesting evening getting to know the group I would be travelling with for this mission we began our journey in full this morning. We requisitioned horses and made our way to the small town where the disappearances have happened. We have yet to uncover the source of these disappearances but I have faith that Professor Joanz will lead us towards the correct answer, as he always does. I shall continue to update this log with only mission appropriate information and will have a follow up at the end of day tomorrow.
 
Ro's Personal Log: Entry 1
I will be keeping this log separate from my regular mission logs for posterity. I will entrust this separate notebook to Watty in the secret compartment behind his left shoulder.
 
I seem to have angered one of my travelling partners, the scary man Zard. He hadn't said much until that point but he did not appreciate the alarm I had installed into Watty. He threw me across the room. If there was ever a time I was glad that I knew how to land safely from being thrown it's right now. When Gram did it to me I always seemed to break something, either on myself or whatever he threw me into. Thankfully I can create light on my quill so I can write while hiding under the covers from him.
 
I was glad to see Masque again after all these years. He seems to have made quite the reputation for himself out in the field, representing the Healer's Guild. I'm glad I only spent a summer there, as I don't think a mask would fit my face quite as well as it does his. I'm lucky none of my marking are above the neckline in that regard I guess.
 
Travelling with Professor Joanz and his... Assistant? (I'm not quite sure what Mumbles' whole deal is yet) has somehow been everything that I expected but also nothing like I expected. I do wish he could remember me for longer that a few months at a time though because it really crushes my spirit every time he forgets. There is hope this time, as he entrusted me with this strange capacitor. I've been able to give it a preliminary look and hopefully I'll be able to make something incredible out of it. Maybe not Watty Incredible. Watty is one of a kind. Isn't that right Watty.
 
And then there's Lynn. I have to freely admit Lynn fascinates me. Her magic is so intriguing and I have so many questions but I feel like if I start asking her one thing it'll devolve into me asking everything and just becoming a bit... much. On the whole of my experience so far I can already tell that meeting her is and will continue to be one of the highest points. I'll have to contain myself, which is difficult for me today. Ronnie always told me I got a bit too talkative when I... Never mind. Anyway she's great, a bit hot headed but I feel there's more to it than that.
