Eilwyn Sumiattas stands 5' 10" tall has long Ash-blond hair and piercing leaf green eyes. She moves with a natural grace and can dance beautifully. She is 65 years old and until recently was apprenticed to her father Gravgaith Sumiattas but after forty years Eilwyn has little to show for her effort and has only mastered two spells.
- She can with some effort of concentration make any object in her hand glow with the intensity of an average lamp, a skill she considers of little value not least because when she finally losses concentration the object itself disappears.
- Rather more usefully she does have the ability to put people to sleep by touching them with a specially prepared piece of down. This she found particularly useful when dealing with the more amorous of her suitors who were normally so embarrassed at having fallen asleep in her presence that they abandoned their attempts to win her affections.
- She is also able to read and write which is rare amongst the people of the Old World and she can speak both Magick and the secret language of the classic's in which many grimoires (spell books) are written.

It was hard work involving lots of tedious study and equally tedious chores and to be honest her father was not the best of teachers.
After forty years Eilwyn has little to show for her effort and has only mastered two spells.
For some time Eilwyn has been planning to run away from home mainly because she can't take another day of dusting shelves, sweeping floors and studying dusty manuscripts, 40 years is enough for any young girl.
Anyway, she finally did it and is now on her way to the exciting city of Nuln, only she isn't feeling very excited at the moment, in fact, she is feeling decidedly apprehensive.
Her fellow travelling companions seem much more prepared for this trip than she is and some of their stories are extremely unsettling.
Nuln is beginning to sound like a very dangerous place to be and Eilwyn has little to protect her other than a silly little dagger and her ineffectual sleep spell. Not only that but for some reason, that smelly Dwarf Toric has taken an instant dislike to her and she is suddenly feeling very alone.
