Alendra has never spoken about her personal background.
She is a skilled illusionist. In addition to her work with the theater, she was amongst those wizards employed by Laeral Silverhand to assist in casting large-scale illusion magics to celebrate the Waterdavian holiday of Dragondown, and as such clearly enjoys some level of respect amongst the wizards of Waterdeep.

Alendra is the stage manager of the Lightsinger Theater and employed Argyll before Last Call was framed for murder.

She seems to also be affiliated with the Harpers in some way. A portal in one of the theater's backstage area led to a wooded grove that doubled as a Harper meeting spot.
