Angst parents were high ranking religious figures who could not have a child they prayed to their god for answers when a mysterious woman came and told them she could give them what they wished for most but when Angst came into the world the way he is the church was convinced his parents were practicing demonic worshiping. Such acts were punishable by death
 
Angst parents were killed for the demonic acts that brought me into this world, they begged that the church spare me but the church did not care. My uncle an honorable paladin of the church rushed in to save, while escaping he gained such deadly wounds he was slowly dying. Before he died he made it away from the guards chasing him. Far from their home country the uncle gave up his nephew to a stranger.
