Valentina encountered the Boatmen⁣⁣⁣ at the Dancing Fox in Fort Worthy after being invited to come by her brother Freddi. There she met Flax and Bob who talked to her and her friends, and said that they could leave the Navy and escape Fort Worthy with them. She then got very drunk and two of Bob and Flax's friends, Violet and Siciliano joined them and not long after she passed out. Waking in the Inn room, she looked up to see Jim sitting on a wooden chair, he looked at her and said "door's locked." when everyone woke they tried to open the door when the sound of a huge explosion shook through the town. They hid and waited till to see what was to come.

Later that evening they heard the door unlock and after some hesitation, open. They saw Bob, Flax, Siciliano, Violet and a large orc named Hector standing there. They told them what was going on and Valentina felt a mixture of emotions and didn't know how to express them.



The following day she realised the opportunity she was presented with and the risks to her, Freddi and Drew's families and went with Flax to the underground to get some fake identifications. There Flax spoke to some people called the Kinsfolk and organised to pay for them, which she was not expecting.



A couple days later they set sail and her and Freddi were finally free, no expectations to live up to, with no Navy bearing down on them. She felt guilty for feeling so free, and deep down knew one day she would have to face the music and tell her family that her and Freddi weren't dead but today was not that day. This day was a day to be free.
