Raised by his Paternal Grandparents


Murak spent most of his childhood alone, with no friends, raised by his grandparents after his parents' death.


His experiences with the Dreadnaught led to a lifelong obsession with death, and learned the arcane arts particularly Necromancy in order to learn all he can about it.

Education

Educated by grandparents and the Githzerai community. Self taught a deeper level of understanding of Necromancy.

Failures & Embarrassments

As a child Murak was obsessed with Astral Dreadnaughts, and one a foray into the astral plane with my parents he tarried and the indecision he had cause the dreadnaught to kill his parents. It spared Murak for some reason.
He feels he was responsible for my parent's death and carries nails from their coffins.
On the astral plane they appeared to be torn asunder before my eyes by an astral dreadnaught.


Murak participated in a rescue mission to free prisoners from a Githyanki camp, it went poorly and he still suffers nightmares for it.

His grandfather was also killed by an Astral Dreadnaught while in the Astral plane with Murak. His community refused to travel to the astral with him after that.
