Axis was born in lower Crystallis. He earned a scholarship via the house of Hearth to the Academy where he studied Divination.
 
In school he was teased and cast aside often because he came from lower Crystallis. He's generally shy and bookish.
 
He joined the candles out of school in order to prove that he is better and brighter than all those from upper Crystallis.
