Personal history

Hello, my name is Jericho.
 
I grew up in a small town that was ravaged by (insert enemy here, DM choice). I managed to escape, but lost my sight in the attack. I felt powerless as I was unable to protect the people I loved. I vowed that same night to never let the people I love to get hurt again.
 
 
I began to practice with a sword in order to protect the people around me. I continued to practice and my skills became refined through my hard effort, but I doubted myself and my skills. I did not want others to be hurt by what I lacked, so I left. I have been alone since I left years ago. At least until I found Cain.
 
 
I found Cain abandoned by his own mother as a pup. His breathing was ragged and felt weak. I nourished him back to health and he has stayed by my side since. He serves as my eyes when needed, alerting me of people and monsters outside of my range. We are partners, indebted to one another for our own reasons. Where I lost my family and friends, Cain now fills that void.
 
 
My goal in life is to protect Cain. I want to fill the void in my heart by making my way back into society. I want to love without the fear of death and destruction. I wish to protect those that I come close to so that they do not have to experience what I have.
