Born in a very cold night on the high mountains of Ugru, Voroth was born and raised in a small village that was on top of a cold snowing mountain. His parents having him at a very old age meant that he didn’t really connect with them, and both parents being busy with their jobs contributing to the tribe.
His father being a captain meant that he was responsible hunting, cooking, gathering and scouting. And his mother being a wet-nurse and taking care of kids and toddlers of the tribe, meant that Voroth was growing up with a lot of them. Growing up, Voroth had some problems adapting to what the tribe was expecting of the young Goliaths, His father Uthal, used to have books that speak of sorcery and magic, and Voroth used to sneak up and steal his father’s books and read them while he was alone in his room.
Years passed, and when Voroth reached the age of maturity, his father discovered him doing magic in his room, when his father walked on him, he was shocked because he thought that no Goliath was able to master the art of sorcery and magic. When his father learnt about all his capabilities, he took him to the leader of the tribe. The tribe leader looked at Voroth eyes and laughed and said, “No goliath has ever mastered the art of magic, and you say you have done it young man?”, his father then whispered to him and told him “show him”, then Voroth created an orb out of nothing then aimed at the sky. The leader was shocked of what he saw and said, “holy fuck”.
Years passed and Voroth just got better and better at magic, at first, he was just a normal fighter that would fight side by side with his fellow tribesmen. After Voroth had strong knowledge of what’s the best for the tribe from his father, the tribesmen decided that he should be an advisor to the leader of the tribe because his people thought the he possessed a great power which no one achieved before him in his clan.
One thing to note is that the goliaths have been at war with the white dragonborn that lived at the foot of their mountain, the war was initiated because of the goliath stealing resources from the dragonborn. Not many major events happened during this war but when years passed, the white dragonborn had enough of the goliath and decided to plan an attack against them.
When the day of attack came no one knew what would happen, even Voroth that had great knowledge didn’t know what was going to happen. 75 of the white dragonborn were ready to fight and they were climbing the high mountains to reach the goliaths. When they reached they saw children playing in front of the village, then the leader grabbed one of them and strangled him to death, the other children ran into the village warning the adults about the dragonborn. The fight was on when the adults were warned, every goliath got their weapons ready to fight and there were about 200 of them counting the frost giants that lived with them.
After the chaos, the dragonborn were obliterated by the goliaths, only a few were able to escape. A lot of causalities happened, almost all the frost giants died, and not much of the goliaths are left. Voroth has been saddened by this event and he almost didn’t leave his house for about 2 weeks.
