Wren Warpmond, a strange masked woman who plays the lute and has a myriad of skills.

The Runic alphabet was arguably the first Wren ever learned. Her lineage was buried deep in the island of innovation, Galventen, their magitech constantly pushing the question of what made something sapient. What was it to truly exist? Her parents were more concerned with the question of how to continue existing, the owners of an apothecary. It was lovely, but curiosity and risk burned in her blood and from the age of twelve she had the same dream: a mask that would allow a collective knowledge from those who had already passed. Not imprisoning their spirits, but allowing them to leave an imprint that the wearer may call upon to embody their abilities in life. She had mastered the first of its make by 19 and set out into the world, as there was no real way to test such a creation ethically at home. The world has provided in dividends to show her the near limitless potential of this technology, but as she sails to this new island she can't help but recall the way the ink on the mask seems to shift at times, into the crude patterns that almost resemble script from some long-forgotten language and wonder....had she gone too far at some point?
