Heart of a poet, blargh of a blargh

Once the man now known only as Blargh wandered between the courts of the Fey, earning a place by the fire with his wit and wisdom.
 
On one day he came to a court without his gift for speech. It's been said he learned of a conspiracy amongst fellow druids, and was cursed - never to reveal what he knows. Others say he fell afoul a Fey-queen; the mule's ears disappeared, but his voice never returned.
 
Past victims of his stories say he was unlucky while sleeping in cold stables, and took a hoof to the head while "communing" with the domesticated nature.
 
Now Blargh blarghs, and blargh to those that blargh Blargh blargh.
 
With great difficulty, Blargh can still write a few words of another tongue, but the blargh comes on more strongly the more he tries, until his script, whether initially flowing elvish or runic dwarf, reads only BLARGH!
 
If anything, his near-muteism has made Blargh's connection to the wilds of his people stronger - perhaps because now, only the animals can understand him.
 
Blargh usually shows contentment with his lot - in the hundred years, he's had time to adjust. At times his eyes glisten with mischief - a secret or joke he's satisfied at least can enjoy, but those few that know him suspect he grieves what is lost.
 
Though generally quiet, lest he blargh, his mood can change like the weather; the silence under heavy clouds breaking into a thunderous BLARGH!!.
