Onnya comes from a land far to the north called Russia. She left her homeland several years ago to explore the world, originally with friends. None of them intended to leave permanently, but things rarely go as planned in the Gamma Age. Two years ago, she found herself in Ooda, her friends all dead. She doesn't like to speak of what happened to them. At the same time, a small group from the Coop was also in town. They had just finished escorting some merchants across the Western Mountains and were about to return east. Onnya asked if she could accompany the four of them. They agreed.
 
The journey was fraught with danger. First, one of the frequent earthquakes in the region caused a rock fall that smashed their vehicle. Continuing on by foot, they next had to deal with multiple carrin and blood bird attacks. By the time they reached Ardan on the other side of the Mountains, only Onnya and one other had survived. According to both of them, two of the others had died in the carrin attacks, but the third, Aram Ayim, had been swallowed by the earth itself, sucked under while they had watched helplessly.
 
Onnya elected to stay with the Coop for a time since their routes overlapped for the time being. Although she was originally thinking of making her way to the City of Cartoons, she ended up staying with the Coop, even becoming one of the rarer people to buy a type B share. Eventually, she became on of the even rare people to get her type B upgraded to a type A when she became a full member of the community.
 
She has been in a committed relationship with Jamal Aram for some time now and the two of them recently got engaged. Their marriage is due in the coming months, once a music group that Onnya has gone to great pains to arrange for arrives in Ardan.
