The elderly Vahella is bedridden and comatose, being incommunicado for 2 years now and slowly wasting away in the bed. Her body is frail and skinny, and you can barely notice her breathing. Her daughter and granddaughter take care of her and feed, wash and treat her to the best of their ability.
Vahella, as far as her daughter knows, was a somewhat eccentric woman that knew some minor magics and had a great interest in history, relics and lore. Despite her interest and scatterbrain nature, she was a decent mother and learned her daughter how to read, write and mathematics. She also helped and financed her daughter travelling to Altenheim where she enrolled as an apprentice at different stores and build her own life. When she fell ill, her daughter moved back to her home village and took over the family business (with some adjustments).
She seems to have been a considerable spellcaster back in her younger days, contrary to what her daughter thinks. She was well versed in dream magic and necromancy, using it to control her granddaughter and protect the village through her own ritual. She also entered Traiborn's dream after he played the eye of Hypnos under his pillow.
She was angered and saddened by the death of her granddaughter, but understood that it was not intended.
