Personal history

From a young age, Dane is talented at performing various musical instruments and drawing. Discovering this musical skill, Dane's mother coerced Dane into playing the piano - and eventually the violin - to perfection and precision, following her irretrievable dream of becoming a famous pianist that was stripped from her grasp due to an illness. Many performances and competitions later, Dane gradually grew animosity towards her mother and the love of playing as it slowly turns a comforting hobby into a detestable daily task. Soon, he found designing and creating garbs and outfits for his little sister more genuine and lovable than being used simply as entertainment to be graded - but this passion was kept secret except to his little sister.
 
He later found out the cause of the increasing pressure from his mom is his father's influence who explicitly exhibits manipulative and gaslighting demeanour, which Dane couldn't see the signs of when he was younger.
 
When Dane's mother was admitted to the hospital and nearing the end, despite Dane's hatred for the time-out, beatings and punishments he endured to 'bring out perfection' to a simple piece, he couldn't help but feel immense pain and sorrow for what his mother had to go through - her lifelong dream becoming intangible because of her illness, forced to be homestricken and usually needing to rest on the bed, but still do the majority of the household's chores all while taking good care of the kids and being constantly controlled by a 'ritually binded' man in every decision - felt extremely debilitating and inhumane.
 
In her last breathe, Dane's mother spoke, "I know this won't amount to much for the pain I have put you through all these years, but..." she stopped for a moment and then continued with a shaky voice, "I'm sorry. I truly am. I-is just seeing you being able to potentially fulfill the broken path of my journey felt nostalgic and reliving that I had to give up my all. Though I realized how far my vision has become that it created a tear between us and your once love for music." A long pause darted across the room, but you can tell the following words would be said in tattered agony.
 
"You don't have to see me." Those words felt it was choking her, "Not here or my grave. I understand if you hate me, just know... I love you. From the bottom of my heart, which I know he could never control that."
 
Withing seconds, a loud ringing beeping noise reverberated the room -she flat lined.
 
Now, every time on her birthday, Dane will go to her favourite place for leisure and relaxation - the park - and play her beloved musical piece on the piano to show he has not yet forgotten the best mom who tried to do her best, even in her worst moments.

Education

He's a high schooler, in grade 9, and enjoys the subjects of music, art, P.E, Japanese and Science. He absolutely hates math.

Employment

Works part-time in a fast-food industry

Accomplishments & Achievements

He got certificates and some medals for playing the piano and violin on stages for either a solo act or in competition with other participants - winning mostly in second place.
